Responsibilities:
Responsible for data related projects including coordination and development of new initiatives, setting data objectives, and providing detailed analysis with management to optimize performance. Then responsible for overseeing data retrieval, validation, development, compilation, presentation of cross-functional data, and meeting reporting and project needs to improve operational excellence.
Job Description:
• Present and provide recommendations for process improvement and promote data management and data governance strategies and standards
• Obtain data from available data sources to integrate, maintain, and prepare and structure data to support analytics, self-service reporting, and strategic data initiatives, such as capacity management, asset management, and data accuracy validation
• Work in Operations to leverage process and data analytics to increase efficiency and achieve service delivery objectives
• Execute and develop standard or custom queries and/or reports as needed
• Data models to understand how we use systems and information in our day to day work, help define golden data sources and push them to relevant systems/applications. (data requirements are mapped, sourced, and/or asked)
• Develop new reporting visualizations (i.e., build dashboards to meet business reporting needs as needed)
• Have knowledge of data storage structures, understanding of data source systems, and documenting how data flows between systems
• Work closely with management and service integration teams to prioritize business needs and data-related initiatives; including collecting and documenting requirements and coordinating with all team members involved in continual improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Have a bachelor's degree in a technology program or a business-related field
• Have a high level of skill in using Excel, and other analytical tools
• Skilled in data management, problem solving, analytical, and excellent decision making, as well as updating in utilizing today's technology
• Having experience in querying and linking data as well as having experience with Now Services will be preferred
• Have skills in applying business and technical skills to drive performance improvement and innovation
• Have experience with Power BI, Tableau or other visualization tools and have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required
• Can demonstrate a strong desire to understand the organization and its strategies and use data as insights into action
• Knowledge of database design, data structures, data modeling and data integration as well as understanding and applying data methodologies, data governance principles, and security
• Able to be a very collaborative team and individual player
• Skilled in strong verbal and written communicationwith the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of partners
• Have the ability to handle various competing priorities in a dynamic environment
